Alexandra Raisman

Aly Raisman is an American gymnast, who was a member and the captain of 2012's Fierce Five as well as the 2016 Final Five US Women's Olympic gymnastics teams. At the 2012 Olympics she took gold on both the team floor and the individual competitions. The bronze was won through using the balance bar. She was the only American to be awarded the most Olympic medals. In the 2016 Olympics she was awarded an Olympic gold medal in the team event which brought her and teammate Gabby Douglas the credit of being the first Americans to earn back-to-back gold medals for the team. Silver medals were also awarded for the all-around competition as well as floor workouts. Between the two Olympics she took an absence from competitive gymnastics for 3 years. Additionally, she was part of two world championship gold winning teams. She began her gymnastics training at the age of 2 and enjoys exercises on the floor. Aly has a strong support for the Uniting Against Lung Cancer organization to commemorate her grandmother who passed away from cancer. Aly plans on pursuing an occupation in fashion and hopes to broaden her leotard line as well as socks in the future. Fierce - a novel she is writing will come out this year.
